Stop Cutting Education!
We are calling on parents and community members to join us in stemming the tide of massive cuts to education funding in Illinois. Governor Quinn has estimated a $278 million budget cut across the board for education in 2013 which will have a devastating effect on Pre-K thru 12th public education. There are three weeks left in the legislative session in Springfield. We need to act now and let legislators know that we will not tolerate massive, across the board cuts to education.

Today the Chicago Board of Education Closed 49 schools
On May 22, 2013, the Chicago Board of Education voted to close 49 schools. This has not been an easy process, but now we must look forward and work to ensure the transition is a safe and smooth one.

Quality Schools Now!
There are 123,000 kids in under-performing schools in Chicago. Couple that with the fact that there are empty seats and buildings across the district not allowing for a fully resourced school that includes art, music, world-languages, and we have a serious problem.
