Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) meal locations and times through April 3.
IPS has partnered with Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana, Inc., to provide additional nutritional support for all IPS students and families in central Indiana during the COVID-19 health crisis. IPS buses will pick up and deliver Gleaners’ meal packages to 25 locations throughout the city. The food will be available for pick up between 4-6 P.M. on Mondays and Fridays. Families will receive one 17-pound box of food, which includes a variety of non-perishable meal-making items to supplement their daily nutrition. Identification is not needed.
Indy Parks is offering free meals to kids 18 and under and Second Helpings is providing sack lunches for adults.
The MLK Center is offering food delivery for individuals in need in the Midtown area of Indianapolis, Monday through Friday. Please complete this form before 10 A.M. daily to have lunch and/or dinner delivered to your home between 12 P.M. and 2 P.M. the same day. If you are out of area, they will refer you to other food resources.
Shepherd Community Center is providing income assistance and drive-thru/walk-thru sack breakfasts and lunches from 8:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. for children and families. The demand is so high that they will begin offering dinner options soon.
