Stand Colorado recently launched its 2020-2021 Parent Advocacy Fellowship! Our annual fellowship is an exciting opportunity for parents and community members who are interested in becoming effective advocates for equity in our schools and community. This year’s fellows will be fighting with us for educational equity and will serve as a parent advisory committee to our team. Fellows will learn how they can leverage their personal and collective power to make change on behalf of Colorado’s kids. Fellows will learn transferable organizing and advocacy skills, with a focus on campaign strategy. This year's program will dive deep into racial justice and the ways our education system inherently discriminates against children of color. Fellows will then identify ways to advocate for powerful changes to the system.

As 2019-20 fellow, Natalie Perez, said, “I learned I am a leader... I found an inner voice that was hidden and now I’m not afraid to use it.”

We are proud to welcome back two 2019-2020 fellows, Natalie Perez and Nallely Antunez, and are excited to introduce four new fellows - Tina Carroll, Yaeel Duarte, Sarah Titus, and Kaye Taavialma.

Join us in welcoming this year’s Parent Advocacy Fellows! You will be hearing from them much more throughout the year.
