Denver Public Schools announced broad efforts to prioritize early literacy and improve supports for students and educators this week. This announcement was made while sharing that only 46% of students in kindergarten through third grade are reading at or above grade level.

These efforts include tutoring, new curriculum that uses scientifically based approaches to teaching students to read, and redesigned summer programming that will be open to all students.
