Welcome to Issue #6 of our Summer of Learning newsletter! Every week we will be sharing a variety of activities, resources, and tips to keep your kids learning and entertained until the new school year.

This week, we're focusing on starting a family book club! We offer plenty of suggestions on how you and your children can share in your exploration of the work through reading. Find these tips and more below! Keep on reading for more learning resources, free events in the Denver metro area, and at-home learning activities.

Check out this resource: Start a Family Book Club!

As your kids grow and learn, remember that as parents and family members you are growing and learning right alongside them! Celebrate your shared exploration of the world and encourage deeper conversations by starting a family book club. By reading the same book and coming together to discuss it, you and your children will gain deeper understanding of the story and insight into the different perspectives that exist in your home.

Try this activity: Alphabet Call Out

Draw each letter of the alphabet and cut them out. As you walk around the house, call out a letter and ask your child to find something that begins with that letter. Explore your whole home until all the letters are gone!
