Welcome to Issue #4 of our Summer of Learning newsletter! Every week we will be sharing a variety of activities, resources, and tips to keep your kids learning and entertained until the new school year. 

This week, we're focusing on encouraging literacy through writing! Did you know that practicing writing can actually improve a child’s literacy skills? Check out our suggestions for how to encourage your child’s creativity through journaling below. The summer months are a fantastic time for your child to discover how fun writing can be! Your child can explore their interests and creativity through journaling, blogging or story-writing. Read our blog to find instructions on how to create their own personal journal, thought-provoking writing prompts, and journaling inspiration!

Try this activity: What will i be? 

Talk with your child about what they want to do when they grow up. Will they become a scientist? A teacher? A business manager? Ask them to draw a picture of themselves in the future and think about what they can do now to make this dream a reality!
