Welcome to Issue #10 of our Summer of Learning newsletter! Every week we will be sharing a variety of activities, resources, and tips to keep your kids learning and entertained until the new school year.

This week, we’ve got a fun library scavenger hunt for your next visit to the local library! You can find that as well as other learning resources, free events in the Denver metro area, and at-home learning activities.

Check out this resource: Library Scavenger Hunt

The local library is a rich resource filled with books, movies, and magazines. Sometimes, the amount of information available can feel a little overwhelming, leading our kids to go for the same sections or types of materials. We put together a Library Scavenger Hunt to gently push your child to explore everything the library has to offer – and maybe even find some books they’re excited to read!

You can find the Scavenger Hunt on our blog here.

Try this activity: Thank You Cards

Practice acts of gratitude with your child. Ask your child if there is anyone in their lives who they think deserves appreciation. Maybe it’s a family member, a teacher, the garbage collector, or a famous person in history. Ask them to write a thank you card saying why they are thankful and how they have learned from them.

Find this activity and others in the Family Literacy Activity Calendar

Put this event (Denver Metro Area) in your calendar: Visit the Museo de las Americas (8/2)
