Stories matter. A key part of advocating for change is telling personal stories to build understanding and empathy with those who have the power to change policy. This legislative session, Stand is committed to ensuring stories of parents and educators are at the heart of decision making in the Capitol.
This week parents and teachers joined an online training with our organizing team to learn how to craft and tell their own stories to impact change. We know that it is critical for legislators to hear the experiences of their constituents in order to make decisions for Colorado’s kids and we are eager to uplift the stories of parents, educators, and community members throughout this session.
