Throughout the pandemic, parents and community members have been able to participate in DPS board meetings virtually and testify without needing to find childcare or travel away from home or work. This has been incredibly impactful for parents. As parent Leilani Siens said
The opportunity to make public comments virtually has allowed me to share my comments with the board for the first time and I know I am not the only one.
As the Denver school board considers continuing virtual public comment at its meetings we are calling on our Stand community again to sign our petition to tell the board to keep a virtual public comment option to ensure parents and families across Denver can weigh in on decisions that impact their children.
We began advocating last year and nearly 200 community members have already signed the petition. Will you join us?
