Early childhood education has so many proven benefits and yet in Colorado access to high quality opportunities can be quite uneven.

The good news is that Govenor Polis and other policymakers recognize the importance of investing in early childhood education. In fact, in his recently released budget, Governor Polis demonstrated his commitment to increasing access to high quality early learning and care.

His budget includes:

  • $27.6M to expand the Colorado Preschool Program to provide access to high-quality preschool for 6,000 more children;
  • New scholarship and loan forgiveness programs for early childhood educators to invest in our early childhood workforce; and
  • New investments to improve child care quality and facilities across the state.

The state legislature will be having conversations about this proposal when they convene, so let’s show Governor Polis how many people appreciate his commitment to high quality pre-k for Colorado's kids! Sign the thank you note here.
