Full-Day Kindergarten

Studies have shown that full-day kindergarten leads to many positive outcomes for kids - like higher reading and math achievement, better social skills, and earlier identification of learning challenges. State funding currently pays for a half-day of kindergarten for all students, so parents in many Colorado districts must pay tuition for their child to attend full-day kindergarten. Governor Jared Polis and many members of the legislature have expressed interest in fully funding full-day kindergarten in 2019.
