BIRDIES MEAN BONUS BUCKS FOR STAND
The 2021 Waste Management Phoenix Open is just around the corner and this year Stand for Children Arizona will be participating in the Birdies For Charity fundraising program! You’re invited to be a part of the golf action by pledging to give. The tournament promises to be the largest tournament in the event’s history, and will feature some of the biggest names on the PGA TOUR battling it out for first place, making birdies, and raising money to support our mission!
When you give to our work, your dollars are directed to partnering with parents – providing them with at-home resources, advocacy training, school communication strategies, and support to take on opportunities to improve education for their child and all children in Arizona.
100% of the pledges made for Stand for Children Arizona will go to our organization. Plus, Stand can receive a 10% BONUS on the total amount of paid pledges collected on our behalf. It's as simple as it sounds. Your investment for our work in education generates a 10% return! Please, make a pledge or donate today!
HOW IT WORKS
In golf, a Birdie is a score of one stroke better than Par for any hold on the golf course. Par is the normal expected score of a golf professional on any given hole.
The program centers around the PGA TOUR professionals making birdies – lots of them – with a historical average of 1,500 birdies during the Waste Management Phoenix Open at the TPC Scottsdale. You can pledge one cent or more for every birdie that will be made by the PGA TOUR players, Thursday through Sunday of the 2021 Waste Management Phoenix Open. It's estimated that between 1,300 and 1,800 birdies will be made.
For example, if you pledge one cent per birdie and 1,500 birdies are made you will receive an invoice after the tournament concludes for $15.00 from Thunderbirds Charities.
GOLF, GIVING, AND HELPING KIDS
The Pledge deadline is 5PM Sunday, February 7, 2021.
You have the option of donating a per birdie pledge or a flat donation.
If you choose to do a per birdie pledge, you will enter in your pledge now and will be invoiced after the tournament with your total amount which is based on the total number of birdies for this year's tournament.
If you choose to do a flat donation, you will have the option to pay by credit card immediately or you can select pay by check.
Your support makes a difference in the lives of so many Arizona families, make a pledge or donate today! Stand Arizona is a non-profit education advocacy organization focused on ensuring all students receive a high quality, relevant education, especially those whose boundless potential is overlooked and under-tapped because of their skin color, zip code, first language, or disability. We are excited by the opportunity to partner with Waste Management Phoenix Open and Thunderbirds Charities to continue to expand all of these resources to more families and create stronger communities through education.
